Support Worker

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide high\-quality care and assistance to an 11 year old boy in his own home who loves anything sport related, in particular football which he loves and skiing of which he has had lessons.

Duties

• He has a combination of Oral and Gastrostomy for nutrition.


• He is non\-verbal and uses assisted technology to communicate.


• You must be a driver as he has a wheelchair adapted vehicle which you must be comfortable and competent driving.


• You must be able to support the client on family holidays which will be paid for.


• You’ll support this client is their own home as well as out in the community, helping them to live as independently as possible.

Experience

• Previous experience in Gastrostomy is desired


• Minimum of 6 months care experience


• Experience in medication administration and behaviour management is advantageous


• Childcare or caregiving experience is beneficial for supporting family members or younger clients


• Valid driving licence is required
