Support Worker Female Ref 09 (Bank)

Location: Blaby, Leicester
Contract: BANK – flexible hours
Pay: £15\.00 per hour \| £12\.71 per hour during training
Shifts: Day shifts at various times \| Waking Nights: 10:30pm–7:30am

About the role

We are looking for a caring, confident and reliable Support Worker to provide specialist care and support to a young person living with spina bifida, a tracheostomy and overnight ventilation.

This is a BANK position, ideal for someone looking for flexible work around other commitments. Shifts are offered according to the client's needs and your availability, with a mixture of day shifts at various times and waking nights.

You will support the client with their activities of daily living and enable them to enjoy social, leisure and community activities, while promoting their independence and quality of life.

About you

You will have:

• Experience working in a support or care role.


• A friendly, approachable and confident manner.


• The ability to understand and support individuals with complex needs.


• A flexible approach and the ability to work calmly under pressure.


• Good communication and relationship\-building skills.


• A non\-smoker/vaper.

Experience with tracheostomy care and ventilation would be desirable, although full specialist training and ongoing support will be provided.

Being registered with the DBS Update Service is also desirable.
