Job Overview
Emeson Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing high\-quality care and support to individuals in various settings, including group homes, assisted living facilities, and in\-home care environments. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their safety and well\-being, and promoting their independence.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other related conditions.
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing changes in behavior or condition.
- Administer medications as prescribed and assist with care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Prepare meals and assist with cooking while accommodating dietary restrictions.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well\-being.
- Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers when necessary.
- Document care provided and report any concerns to the supervising staff or healthcare professionals.
- Prior experience in home health care, senior care, or long\-term care settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques is essential; certifications are a plus.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism or developmental delays.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for patient mobility assistance.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.

Pay: £13\.50\-£22\.40 per hour
