Bluetop Care Ltd is a CQC regulated care and support services organisation committed to delivering person\-centred, dignified, and empowering support across South London and the Kent area. We are currently recruiting compassionate, skilled, and dedicated support workers to join our teams working with young adults and adults aged 65 and over in both community and supported living settings. As a Support Worker, you will provide high\-quality, person\-centred care and support that enables each individual to lead a fulfilling, independent, and dignified life. You will work closely with service users, their families, and a wider multi\-disciplinary team to implement individual care plans and uphold the highest standards of care.

Daily Support \& Personal Care

  • Providing personal care, including bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, and continence support, with dignity and respect

  • Assisting with meal preparation, nutritional monitoring, and hydration management

  • Supporting safe mobility, transfers, and the use of mobility aids in accordance with manual handling guidelines

  • Administering and accurately recording medication in line with MAR charts and organisational policy

  • Completing detailed, accurate support logs and incident reports to a professional written standard
Wellbeing, Community \& Independence
  • Enabling service users to participate in social, recreational, and community activities aligned to their individual support plans

  • Supporting positive mental health, emotional wellbeing, and personal independence goals

  • Assisting with appointments, transport, and liaison with healthcare and statutory professionals

  • Implementing and contributing to the review of care plans in partnership with the service user, their family, and the care team

  • Identifying, escalating, and recording safeguarding concerns in accordance with CQC standards and local authority safeguarding procedures
Young Adults (18–35\)
  • Supporting transitions from children’s to adult services and building life skills

  • Promoting independence in areas such as budgeting, cooking, household management, and self\-care

  • Encouraging engagement in education, employment, and vocational opportunities

  • Implementing positive behaviour support (PBS) strategies where required
Older Persons (65\+)
  • Supporting individuals with age\-related conditions, including dementia, frailty, and reduced mobility

  • Monitoring and recording changes in health and wellbeing, escalating concerns promptly to the care manager

  • Providing companionship and meaningful social interaction to reduce isolation and promote emotional wellbeing

  • Assisting with Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs) and contributing to risk assessments
Experience
  • Minimum 1 year’s paid or voluntary experience in a care or support worker role

  • Demonstrable experience working with young adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs, or complex behaviours, and/or adults aged 65\+ with dementia or physical health conditions

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to produce accurate, professional support records

  • Sound working knowledge of safeguarding, mental capacity, and the Care Act 2014

  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, on a rota basis

  • Enhanced DBS certificate (on the Update Service preferred)

  • Right to work in the United Kingdom
Qualification
  • NVQ / QCF Level 2 or Level 3 in Health \& Social Care (or willingness to work towards)

  • Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) training

  • Dementia awareness or specialist dementia qualification

  • First aid at work certificate

  • Manual handling certificate

  • Medication administration training

  • Safeguarding adults' training

  • Mental Capacity Act awareness training
Pay: £24,420\.00\-£36,042\.98 per year
