Support Pharmacist

Collon Pharmacy – Collon, Co. Louth

Collon Pharmacy is seeking a patient‑focused and confident Support Pharmacist to join our community‑driven team. This is a part‑time position, ideal for a pharmacist who enjoys working independently while being supported by an excellent, highly experienced team of pharmacy technicians.

About the Role

You will act as the sole pharmacist on duty on your working days, supported by a strong, well‑structured team who manage dispensing preparation, workflow, and front‑of‑shop operations. This allows you to focus on clinical accuracy, patient care, and service delivery.

Schedule:

• 2 days per week


• Includes 2 Saturdays per month


• Occasional additional hours available if desired

• Safely and accurately dispense and check prescriptions in line with PSI and HPRA standards


• Provide clear, evidence‑based counselling to patients on prescription and OTC medicines


• Deliver pharmacy services including emergency contraception, BP monitoring, vaccinations (if trained), and Common Conditions Scheme consultations


• Oversee daily pharmacy operations while supported by experienced technicians


• Ensure compliance with SOPs, CD regulations, record‑keeping, and quality standards


• Maintain CPD and contribute to continuous improvement within the pharmacy

• Registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI)


• Comfortable working as the sole pharmacist on duty


• Strong clinical knowledge and attention to detail


• Experience with using MPS, and dealing with stock and claims issues


• Excellent communication and patient‑care skills


• Positive, professional attitude and ability to work well with a skilled support team

• Highly experienced and supportive technician team

Pay: From €40\.00 per hour
