Support Engineer

We're looking for a Support Engineer to join our team in Aarau, Switzerland in an onsite working mode. In this role, you will act as the physical face of EPAM IT at our client’s key offices, bridging the gap between remote Service Desk teams and on\-the\-ground technical intervention across a large enterprise device estate. You will ensure smooth device operations, deliver white\-glove executive support and handle technical issues that cannot be resolved remotely.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve hardware issues including laptops, docking stations, monitors, peripherals, printers and mobile devices


• Perform physical device swaps, diagnostics and coordinate warranty dispatch with the vendor (Lenovo preferred)


• Execute local network troubleshooting such as port patching, Wi\-Fi signal issues and AV/VC equipment checks


• Support server room walk\-throughs when requested (cable checks, hard drive swaps, visual inspections)


• Deliver executive\-level support for local offices, including VIP and boardroom meetings


• Manage staging of new devices: receive, unbox, asset\-tag, enroll via Intune/Autopilot and prepare for user handoff


• Coordinate device decommissioning, secure wiping and end\-of\-life processes


• Maintain local device stock and spares inventory and coordinate replenishment with Workplace team


• Act as first responder for meeting room technology issues and support traders with telephony setups where needed


• Assist users with daily application problems and general troubleshooting

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience providing deskside or field IT support


• Strong hardware troubleshooting skills for laptops (Lenovo preferred), docking stations, printers, mobile devices and AV/VC setups


• Working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Intune/Autopilot enrollment and Microsoft 365 applications


• Ability to work with physical infrastructure including unpacking, racking, cable management and equipment logistics


• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for user\-facing support in walk\-up environments


• Professional fluency in English and B2\+ German skill

• ITIL 4 Foundation certification


• Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator (MD\-102\)


• Experience with Lenovo warran
