Supply Chain & Operations Manager
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000
We are seeking an experienced and driven Supply Chain & Operations Manager to lead and optimise end-to-end operational performance across planning, procurement, inventory, and logistics functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure customer requirements are met while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
- Lead and manage change, driving continuous improvement across operations.
- Provide clear direction and inspire teams to work collaboratively towards shared objectives.
- Develop agile, cross-functional teams that are accountable, adaptable, and customer-focused.
- Oversee resource planning to align capacity with fluctuating workloads and business demands.
- Ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and adherence to operational standards and systems.
- Oversee production and repair scheduling to ensure efficient workflow and on-time delivery.
- Align schedules with capacity, materials availability, and customer priorities.
- Manage procurement activities, ensuring timely supply of materials from internal and external suppliers.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels in line with demand forecasts and business targets.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality, cost, and delivery expectations.
- Lead all logistics operations, including inbound, internal, and outbound flows.
- Ensure efficient storage, handling, and distribution of materials and finished goods.
- Oversee inventory control processes, including forecasting, stock accuracy, and audits.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including customs and shipping requirements.
- Maintain a safe and compliant working environment in line with HSE standards.
- Set clear performance objectives aligned with business goals.
- Develop team capability through training, coaching, and career development planning.
- Foster a positive working culture through effective communication and leadership.
- Monitor operational performance using KPIs and implement corrective actions where needed.
- Lead and contribute to improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with established processes while identifying opportunities to optimise standards.
- Proven experience in supply chain, operations, or logistics management within a complex environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with KPIs, forecasting, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
