In Global Sourcing \& Supplier Development, we strategically enhance Manitou Group’s global market position, competitiveness and long term sustainability by elevating and leveraging our value chain, fostering resilient and innovative Supply Chain and supplier partnerships, driving superior value and cost efficiency, and setting an international accountable, agile, and responsive Supply Chain and Global Sourcing Organization.
Key stakes of this position are to develop the Supplier Base on QCD performances based on a collaborative assessment, training and improvement of key suppliers capabilities and processes to ensure best performance in Quality, Cost and Delivery in order to enhance the company competitive advantage and supply chain resilience; provide support to operations in major supply chain crisis.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Improve overall QCD performances: develop the Supplier base of the group on QCD performances as per Manitou performance requirements system and jointly defined objectives maintaining a close connection with Manitou manufacturing facilities
- Quality (Q) improvement: Reduce defects, eliminate rework and improve process capability, leading to fewer issues in the company production lines
- Cost (C) Reduction: Reduce the total cost of ownership by eliminating waste and improving efficiency which can lead to sustainable cost reductions for both parties
- Delivery (D) Improvement: improve the supplier’s On\-Time Delivery (OTD) performance, responsiveness and capacity to ensure a reliable and flexible supply chain
- Coordinate interventions with critical suppliers to identify bottlenecks and implement measures to secure capacities and sustainable performance
- Inventory and logistic optimization: work on supply chain inbound strategy (as JIT, VMI, logistic hubs) to streamline logistics flow and packaging, reduce lead times and total inventory levels
- Qualify new strategic suppliers from a supply chain perspective, in compliance with internal procedures (maturity of supply chain \& manufacturing processes, industrial \& volume capacity and securitization plans)
- Ensure strategic suppliers adhere to Manitou Standards and Specifications
- Root Cause Analysis \& Corrective Actions: Use structured problem\-solving tools to identify and eliminate the true root causes of recurring issues (supply)
- Challenge the Manitou manufacturing facilities on the follow\-up of actions to be implemented to secure the supplier panel
- Master degree in Supply chain, Engineering or equivalent
- 5\-7 years of experience in Supplier Development functions in an industrial and international environment
- Proven experience in management of international supplier relations
- Ability to drive Industrial Capability and maturity assessments with the appropriate tools
- Analytical and problem solving mindset and tools knowledge
- Fluent in English and French, any other language is an advantage to manage international suppliers
- Strong ability to challenge \& negotiate with suppliers
- Diplomacy, rigor and tenacity
- up to 20% travel
