ABOUT SOBE BURGER
SoBe Burger is one of the UK's fastest\-growing smash burger franchises, bringing Miami vibes and seriously good food to the high street since 2019\. With 15\+ locations across the country and more opening all the time, we're on a mission to serve perfectly caramelised smash patties dripping with signature sauces — and we're just getting started.
Our Kentish Town, Camden location is a brand new opening, and we're building a tight, talented team from the ground up.
THE ROLE
As Shift Manager, you'll be the person in charge on your shifts — running the floor, leading the crew, and making sure every customer leaves happy. When the Store Manager isn't in, the store is yours to run.
This is a real step up from crew. You'll have genuine responsibility and the autonomy to make decisions — from keeping the kitchen moving at pace to handling customer situations on the spot. If you're ambitious and looking to grow into a Store Manager role, this is the place to do it.
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Leading the team during your shift — keeping pace, maintaining quality, and holding standards
- Opening or closing the store, including cash management and end\-of\-day procedures
- Ensuring every order meets SoBe's food quality and presentation standards
- Handling customer feedback and complaints confidently and professionally
- Keeping the store clean, safe, and compliant with food hygiene standards throughout your shift
- Supporting stock management — flagging low levels and minimising waste
- Briefing and motivating crew at the start of each shift
- Being the first point of escalation for crew during your shift
- Some experience in a fast food, QSR, or fast casual environment — you know how a busy kitchen and service floor works
- You've supervised or led a small team before, even informally — people naturally look to you when things get busy
- Calm under pressure — a Saturday evening rush doesn't faze you
- Reliable and accountable — if you're running a shift, you own it
- A genuine love of food and pride in what you serve
- Food Safety Level 2 desirable — we'll support you in getting there if not
- Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
- £14\.50 – £15\.50 per hour, depending on experience
- 40 hours per week
- Free meal on every shift
- 50% staff discount when off shift
- Auto\-enrolment pension with 3% employer contribution
- 28 days holiday pro\-rata
- Enhanced sick pay — above statutory
SoBe is growing fast and we promote from within. This role is a genuine launchpad — if you're good, we'll back you. We're not looking for someone to clock in and clock out; we want someone who gives a damn about the food, the team, and the customers.
Kentish Town is a new site for us — you'll be part of building something from scratch, which is a rare opportunity at this stage of a brand's growth.
