Supervisor front of house

Job Description:

The Tudor of Lichfield is a long\-established family\-run restaurant, café, bar and chocolatier located within one of Lichfield’s most historic buildings.

As we continue to develop and grow the business, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Front of House Supervisor to join our team and support the day\-to\-day running of the venue.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will play a key role in leading the front of house team, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring smooth service standards at all times.

The role consists primarily of daytime hours, with Friday and Saturday being our only evening service periods.

Responsibilities

• Supervising front of house operations during service


• Supporting and reporting to the General Manager


• Leading, motivating, and developing the FOH team


• Delivering excellent customer service and resolving guest issues professionally


• Assisting with staff training and onboarding


• Ensuring cleanliness, presentation, and service standards are maintained


• Opening and closing the venue when required


• Supporting stock control and daily operational procedures

Requirements

• Previous experience in a hospitality supervisor or team leader role


• Strong communication and leadership skills


• Ability to remain calm under pressure in a busy environment


• Excellent customer service skills


• Flexible approach to shifts including evenings and weekends


• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
