Join the international B\-Path Project at Heidelberg University Hospital and contribute to innovative research exploring new breath\-based methods for diagnosing respiratory illnesses. Working at the interface of infectious diseases, public health, and global health research, you will gain hands\-on experience in participant recruitment, qualitative research, data collection, and scientific collaboration. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team based at the Department of Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine and the Heidelberg Institute of Global Health. Your Responsibilities
-------------------------
  • Support study staff in explaining the research project to participants and assist with participant recruitment and sample collection

  • Conduct qualitative interviews as part of the study's data collection activities

  • Transcribe and translate interview recordings using dedicated transcription software while ensuring high quality standards

  • Perform quality checks of transcripts and translations to maintain data accuracy and consistency

  • Collaborate with researchers across clinical and public health disciplines

  • Contribute to additional B\-Path research activities and project\-related tasks as required

  • Help ensure smooth study operations within both outpatient and emergency care settings

Your Profile
----------------
  • Currently enrolled as a student in medicine, public health, sociology, biology, anthropology, social work, or a related field

  • Initial practical experience through studies, internships, research projects, or relevant employment is advantageous

  • Knowledge of healthcare, public health, infectious diseases, or clinical research is desirable

  • Experience in research methods, participant interaction, or qualitative data collection is considered a plus

  • Native German speaker with excellent written and spoken English skills

  • Confident user of standard computer applications and digital research tools

  • Strong communication, listening, organizational, and note\-taking skills combined with a reliable and detail\-oriented working style
