<p>Discover an employer who takes care of its greatest asset: its employees!</p></div><p><strong>LAPORTE is looking for a senior structural engineer </strong>with ideally a minimum of<strong><u> 7 years </u></strong><u>of experience </u>in structural design and analysis, who will contribute to the integration of structural solutions in our industrial projects. This person will play a key role in the design, implementation, and coordination of structural engineering solutions, in collaboration with our multidisciplinary teams.</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Perform analysis and design of structures for industrial buildings, foundations, mezzanines, platforms, and equipment supports;</li>
<li>Prepare technical documents (calculations, specifications, plans, reports);</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (Quebec Building Code, CSA, CNB, etc.);</li>
<li>Provide technical support on site: coordination, inspections, work monitoring;</li>
<li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (processes, mechanical, electrical, building) to integrate structural solutions into projects;</li>
<li>Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and partners to ensure the quality and smooth running of projects;</li>
<li>Supervise and support less experienced engineers and professionals in the context of projects.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Requirements</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering or equivalent discipline;</li>
<li>Engineers, Member of <em>Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)</em>, required;</li>
<li>Engineers who are members of <em>the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) are </em>an asset;</li>
<li>Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in industrial or steel structure projects;</li>
<li>Excellent knowledge of design and construction codes and standards;</li>
<li>Proven ability to lead a project from design to completion;</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills; bilingualism (French/English) an asset;</li>
<li>Experience with structural design software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD, S-Frame, or equivalent) is an asset.</li>
