Salary: £43,000 – £60,000 per year, depending on experience

Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our team and work on a range of commercial projects across London and the surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for a capable and motivated engineer with a strong background in structural design who is looking to take on varied and interesting projects within a supportive and collaborative environment.

We are looking for someone who is available to start immediately or at short notice.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out structural design and analysis for a variety of commercial projects.


• Design structural elements using appropriate materials, including steel, concrete, masonry and timber where required.


• Produce structural calculations, specifications, drawings and technical documentation.


• Develop practical and cost\-effective structural engineering solutions.


• Work closely with architects, contractors, clients and other consultants throughout the design and construction process.


• Attend site visits and provide technical input during construction.


• Ensure designs comply with relevant UK standards, regulations and industry best practice.


• Support projects from initial concept and feasibility through detailed design and construction.

Requirements

• Approximately 5 years or more of structural engineering experience.


• Strong experience in the design and delivery of commercial building projects.


• Good knowledge of structural analysis and design principles.


• Experience designing in common structural materials such as steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber.


• Ability to produce and review structural calculations and technical documentation.


• Good understanding of UK Building Regulations, British Standards and Eurocodes.


• Strong communication and problem\-solving skills.


• Ability to manage your own workload and work effectively as part of a wider project team.

Experience with structural engineering and design software is expected, but knowledge of any particular software package is not essential.
