Strategy Director - Aviva
<p><strong>ROLE SUMMARY</strong></p>
<p>The Strategy Director is responsible for leading and driving strategic excellence for your clients. You will act as a senior advisor to both clients and internal teams, helping to define, articulate and implement strategies that unlock growth, elevate brand positioning and create meaningful connections with audiences.</p>
<p>You will nurture high-impact client relationships, provide ongoing thought leadership and ensure strategic consistency and innovation across all deliverables. This role requires a blend of analytical thinking, creative insight and commercial acumen to solve complex challenges with clarity and vision.</p>
<p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Develop and lead integrated communications and media strategies (across multiple accounts) that deliver against brand & commercial goals</li>
<li>Identify, engage and nurture relationships with senior clients and key decision-makers to understand their pressures, objectives and ambitions</li>
<li>Use market research, audience data and cultural trends to drive innovative media approaches and strategic recommendations</li>
<li>Collaborate with internal teams, including planning, data analytics and creative, to ensure seamless integration</li>
<li>Ensure consistency and alignment between strategy, execution and measurement</li>
<li>Identify opportunities for organic growth within existing accounts through matching OMG specialist services to a client's needs</li>
<li>Lead, mentor and manage other junior strategists in the team, providing training and development opportunities and supporting their career development</li>
<li>Take an active role in new business pitches – contributing to winning strategies</li>
<li>Play an active role in agency and industry wide thought leadership – from authoring thought pieces, presenting at events to taking part in panels</li>
<li>Stay updated on emerging media trends, new technologies and industry shifts to drive innovative thinking and competitive advantage</li>

<p><strong>This role is to take a lead strategic role on OMD UK's flagship new account, Aviva. We have a hybrid working model (three days in the office, two working remotely), to ensure that we meet the needs of both our people and our business, balancing the benefits of in-person connections with the flexibility of remote working. Our standard working hours are 9:30 – 17:30, but we offer the ability to flex around core hours of 10:30 – 16:30 to give our people flexibility on how they manage their working day, whether that’s in the office or working remotely. For example, you could start work at 8:30 and finish at 16:30 or start at 10:30 and finish at 18:30.</p>
