Role Overview
Our client, a specialised payments technology company, is seeking a Strategic Account
Manager to own and evolve key client relationships within the fintech and banking space.
This role goes beyond traditional account management \- focusing on repositioning accounts
from staff augmentation to high\-value, solution\-led engagements. You will work closely with
financial institutions, developing a deep understanding of their organisation, roadmap, and
challenges to uncover new opportunities.
Acting as a bridge between client stakeholders and internal engineering teams, you will help
shape complex, project\-based solutions that leverage deep payments expertise. This is a
highly visible role combining commercial ownership, strategic thinking, and consultative
selling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage strategic client relationships, including contracts, renewals,
- Develop accounts by building relationships across multiple stakeholders, teams, and
- Identify and drive opportunities to shift from staff augmentation to high\-value,
- Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to shape tailored, technically
- Maintain a strong understanding of each client’s roadmap, priorities, and internal
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in account management or client development within payments, fintech,
- Strong consultative mindset with the ability to identify unarticulated client needs and
- Commercially astute, with experience managing contracts, margins, and long\-term
- Technically curious, able to bridge business and technical discussions with credibility.
- Fluent in Dutch and English, with experience navigating complex enterprise
