About The Role

Motability Operations are currently recruiting for a Strategic Account Manager to join our team based remotely on a full\-time, permanent basis. In this role, you will lead strategic dealer engagement within your region, managing a portfolio of Strategic Impact dealer groups whose scale and performance materially affect MO KPIs and customer outcomes.

Day to day:

  • You will have direct line management responsibility for two area\-based Key Account Managers and two Network Account Managers, ensuring clear performance alignment, coaching and accountability across the regional team.

  • You will operate at executive level within dealer groups, driving measurable improvements in customer experience, asset management and commercial performance.

  • You will own performance turnaround plans for underperforming Strategic Impact accounts and apply structured escalation, including OEM engagement, where required.

  • You will oversee regional delivery against the MO priorities, ensuring engagement intensity remains proportionate to risk and performance.

About You


  • You are commercially astute and confident operating at Board and C\-suite level within complex dealer groups.

  • You are experienced in influencing senior stakeholders where priorities may not naturally align with MO objectives.

  • You are comfortable leading performance intervention plans and holding partners to account where required.

  • You understand dealer group P\&L drivers and how MO activity impacts workshop, sales and used vehicle performance.

  • You can connect strategic intent to operational delivery and ensure change is embedded beyond executive agreement.

  • You are resilient, credible and able to apply structured escalation when required while maintaining long\-term partnership value.
Minimum criteria:
  • Significant automotive industry experience including strong understanding of dealership financial performance.

  • Experience managing high\-value B2B strategic accounts.

  • Experience operating at executive stakeholder level.

  • Experience delivering measurable improvement in KPIs through structured action plans.

  • Experience influencing cross\-functional stakeholders internally and externally.

  • Strong understanding of OEM distribution strategies and emerging automotive trends
