At United Autosports, precision off the track is just as important as performance on it. We're looking for a highly organised and detail\-focused Stores \& Procurement Assistant to join our spares operation, ensuring every component is accurately controlled, fully traceable, and ready when the team needs it most.
The Role
Reporting to the Procurement and Stock Manager, you’ll be responsible for the management of our race parts inventory and carry out tasks such as goods in, issuing car parts, shipping internationally, arranging servicing/repairs and raising purchase orders for consumables, race car parts and servicing.
Working closely with your line manager, mechanics, engineers and suppliers, you'll ensure that every component is correctly identified, stored, documented and available exactly when required. Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will play a vital role in keeping our race operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete parts inventory, ensuring all components are correctly labelled, located, traceable and maintained in the correct condition.
- Prepare commercial invoices, request carnets and arrange UK \& international shipments.
- Maintain accurate stock records through regular cycle counts, reconciliations and inventory control.
- Monitor and record parts usage, ensuring stock systems remain up to date in real time.
- Liaise with suppliers and engineering teams regarding orders, shortages, superseded parts and return\-to\-manufacturer (RMA) processes.
- Manage quarantine stock, non\-conforming components and quality documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organised and audit\-ready workshop stores.
- Continuously improve stores processes, organisation and stock accuracy.
You'll be someone who enjoys structure, thrives on organisation and understands that attention to detail can make the difference between success and failure on race weekend.
You'll ideally have:
- Experience within motorsport stores, parts, procurement, logistics, warehousing or inventory management.
- Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience using stock management or inventory systems.
- The ability to prioritise and remain calm whilst working under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work closely with engineers, mechanics, suppliers and the wider race team.
- A proactive attitude with a commitment to maintaining the highest operational standards.
- This is a factory\-based role, but some occasional travel may be required to test/race events.
