Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Store Manager to lead our retail team and oversee daily operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales, managing staff, and ensuring excellent customer service. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with strong management skills to contribute to the growth and success of our store. The position is paid and requires a proactive approach to leadership, organisation, and communication.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise store staff, fostering a positive team environment and ensuring high levels of motivation and performance.
- Manage daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, stock management, and visual merchandising.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed targets while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Oversee inventory control, ordering supplies, and ensuring the store is well\-stocked and organised.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance, providing constructive feedback and support for professional development.
- Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism using excellent phone etiquette.
- Analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth; prepare reports for senior management.
- Ensure compliance with health \& safety regulations, company policies, and procedures at all times.
- Coordinate promotional activities and organise merchandising displays to maximise sales potential.
- Maintain effective communication across all levels of the team to ensure smooth store operations.
- Proven experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role within a retail environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Effective communication skills in both written and verbal forms; multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous.
- Demonstrable experience in sales management, merchandising, and administrative duties.
- Ability to manage time effectively under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience supervising staff, with a focus on team management and development.
- Competent in using retail management software or relevant administrative tools.
- A professional attitude with strong phone etiquette and organisational skills.
