Store Manager - Full Time

Magnalux Ltd is seeking a reliable, organised and hands\-on Warehouse \& Stores Manager to take responsibility for the day\-to\-day running of our warehouse and stock operations.

As a lighting wholesaler and distributor, accurate stock management and careful handling of products are extremely important to our business. The successful candidate will take ownership of the warehouse, ensuring orders are picked accurately, deliveries are processed correctly and the warehouse is kept clean, tidy and well organised at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the day\-to\-day organisation and running of the Magnalux warehouse.


• Receive, check and process incoming deliveries against purchase orders.


• Ensure all incoming stock is checked for quantities, damages and discrepancies.


• Pick, check and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently for dispatch.


• Ensure fragile lighting products are handled and packaged carefully to minimise damages.


• Organise daily collections and outgoing deliveries with our courier and pallet networks.


• Maintain accurate stock locations and ensure products are stored in their correct designated areas.


• Carry out regular stock checks and investigate stock discrepancies.


• Assist with and take responsibility during company stocktakes.


• Ensure stock movements, returns and damaged goods are correctly recorded.


• Maintain an efficient system for customer returns and goods awaiting inspection.


• Keep the warehouse, loading areas and workstations clean, tidy and organised at all times.


• Ensure aisles, pallet locations and picking areas remain clear and safe.


• Supervise and organise warehouse staff where required, allocating daily tasks and ensuring work is completed to the expected standard.


• Work closely with the office and sales team to ensure customer orders are dispatched accurately and on time.


• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse organisation, picking efficiency and stock accuracy.


• Ensure company health \& safety procedures are followed throughout the warehouse.


• Assist with loading and unloading deliveries.


• Operate pallet trucks and other warehouse equipment where appropriately trained.

• Previous warehouse, stores or stock management experience is desirable.


• Experience supervising or taking responsibility for other staff would be an advantage.


• A clean and tidy approach to work is essential.


• Strong organisational skills and the ability to maintain an orderly warehouse.


• Excellent attention to detail, particularly when picking orders and checking stock.


• Reliable, punctual and able to take responsibility for the role.


• Comfortable working independently and using initiative to resolve day\-to\-day issues.


• Good communication skills and the ability to work closely with office and sales staff.


• Basic computer skills for stock and order management.


• Physically capable of handling stock and working on your feet throughout the day.


• Forklift experience/licence would be advantageous but is not essential.


• A full, clean driving licence is desirable but not essential.
