Stock Controller and Compliance Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail\-oriented Stock Controller and Compliance Officer to oversee inventory management, ensure adherence to regulatory standards, and optimise supply chain processes. This role involves managing stock levels, analysing data to identify trends, and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience with warehouse management systems, and a proactive approach to compliance and stock control within a fast\-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain accurate stock levels using Warehouse Management Systems (


• Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies through root cause analysis.


• Manage shipping \& receiving operations, including materials handling


• Utilise data and analysis skills to identify trends, optimise inventory categorisation, and support merchandising strategies.


• Implement process improvements to streamline stock control procedures and reduce waste.


• Analyse supply chain data to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies and develop actionable solutions.


• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, safety standards, and internal policies through regular audits.


• Support category management initiatives by maintaining accurate stock records and assisting in inventory planning.

• Proven experience in warehouse management, logistics, or retail management roles with a focus on stock control.


• Strong data analysis skills


• Familiarity with ERP systems


• Knowledge of materials handling equipment


• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.


• Analytical mindset with the ability to perform root cause analysis and process optimisation.


• Good negotiation skills for supplier engagement and contract negotiations.
