Stock Control Assistant
Hours of Work:
o 40 hours per week
o Monday – Friday
o 6\.00am – 3\.00pm / 7\.00am – 4\.00pm (with an hour of breaks)
o There may be a requirement to work the occasional weekend for major annual stock checks
Salary: £27,030 per annum
Bonuses: £1,300 per annum
Holidays: 25 Annual Days \+ 3 x Bank Holidays (New Year’s Day, Christmas Day \& Boxing Day)
Description: The Stock Control Assistant will need to have a keen eye for detail, be meticulous in their working and be self\-motivated to ensure that the stock system is up to date and accurate at all times. Stock investigations and site adherence to stock integrity is key in this role. The Stock Control Assistant will be responsible for managing the receipt of all incoming stock and ensuring that deliveries are checked against purchase orders and delivery notes. Furthermore, ensure that all elements of the Goods\-In operation is up to date and accurate at all times and work alongside General Warehouse Operatives as necessary.
Essential Skills/Criteria:
o Meet the physical demands of the role
The role is very ‘hands\-on’ however, core office skills are essential
o Proven experience within a warehouse environment.
o Sound working knowledge of WMS and excellent IT (Excel essential) and General office skills (including Microsoft Office).
o Proven experience within a Goods\-In office operation.
o Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) for liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
o High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
Responsibilities/Requirements on Appointment:
o Use the Swords system to run reports including costs to the business and create excel spreadsheets. Swords system training will be provided as necessary.
o Assist and maintain PI cycles to continuously hit KPI targets
o Assist asset control and loss prevention
o Provide accurate reports on demand and at scheduled times, meeting agreed KPIs.
o Assist the Stock Control Manager in monitoring date rotation and provide information to the Sales and Buying teams to prevent stock loss.
o Disposal of damaged stocks while recovering saleable items
o Be able to physically lift and count stock across all departments on site
o Be able to work in a cold store.
o Manage the receipt of all incoming stock, ensuring that deliveries are checked against purchase orders and delivery notes.
o Verify the accuracy and quality of goods delivered, ensuring products meet required specifications.
o Ensure all documentation is properly completed and filed eg. purchase orders, delivery notes, goods received notes (GRNS)
o Liaise with suppliers / hauliers and internal teams, to resolve delivery issues and ensure timely resolutions of any stock related queries.
o Maintain records of damaged, returned, or rejected goods and ensure that these are processed accordingly.
o Manager booking\-in emails, communicating with suppliers, hauliers, internal teams.
o To provide support to Stock Control teams duties during absence \& holiday
o Any general warehouse duties on an ‘as and when’ basis eg. stock picking.
