About the Role
Caragh Nurseries is looking for an organised and detail\-oriented Stock and Quality Administrator to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working both outdoors and in an administrative capacity. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate stock levels across the nursery and production centre, ensuring our website inventory is kept up to date and reliable for customers.
Working closely with the E\-Commerce Manager and Production Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring stock levels throughout the nursery, reporting inventory discrepancies, and coordinating incoming seasonal stock from our off\-site production nursery tunnels.
Key Responsibilities
- Walk the nursery daily to monitor and track stock levels
- Maintain accurate inventory records for:
- Plants
- Pots
- Garden furniture
- Nursery products and related stock
- Report stock updates to the E\-commerce Manager
- Help ensure website stock quantities remain accurate and up to date
- Liaise with the Production Manager regarding incoming seasonal stock from off\-site nursery tunnels and report discrepancies
- Assist with stock counts and inventory organisation
- Work closely with different departments to maintain efficient stock management systems
- Ensure stock areas are organised and clearly managed
- Monitor general stock quality and presentation throughout the nursery
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Tech savvy and proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Comfortable working outdoors and walking the nursery regularly
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Basic computer skills and confidence using inventory or stock systems
- Previous stock control, administration, retail, or horticultural experience is an advantage but not essential
- Interest in horticulture or nursery operations is beneficial
