Job Description:Function
The Station Manager ensures the overall proper functioning of the Saint‑Rémy R\&D site, including safety, regulatory compliance, budget management, project execution, energy performance, and the quality of services provided to on‑site teams.
He/She drives collective momentum through structured and effective coordination, fostering smooth and harmonious working relationships between teams—particularly Breeding, Operations, and T\&T—while ensuring a high level of satisfaction among internal clients.
With a forward‑looking mindset, the Station Manager defines and promotes a medium‑ to long‑term vision for the station’s development, integrating operational challenges, operational excellence, as well as the human and organizational development of teams. This approach ensures a sustainably positive social climate and continuous improvement of practices.
The role is also positioned at the heart of a European and global network of breeding stations: the Station Manager actively contributes to the development of this network, to the upskilling of teams, and to the harmonization of practices across sites, thereby strengthening consistency, performance, and operational excellence within the overall HM.CLAUSE framework.
Vos missions
A. Site Supervision \& Coordination
Overall Leadership \& Vision
- Define and drive a clear site vision aligned with R\&D challenges and Group priorities
- Ensure the adequacy of human, technical, and organizational resources
- Oversee overall Operations performance (excluding daily farming practices)
- Anticipate needs and contribute to a mid‑ to long‑term development roadmap
- Ensure smooth and constructive communication across teams
- Foster collaboration (Breeding, Operations, T\&T)
- Manage sensitive situations with diplomacy
- Participate in employee representative bodies (CSE / CSSCT)
- Co‑lead internal events and onboarding
- Maintain a positive and collaborative work environment
Planning \& Monitoring
- Build and monitor OPEX / CAPEX / PERC budgets
- Anticipate human, equipment, and infrastructure needs
- Prioritize investments (safety, ROI, urgency)
- Approve invoices (Basware) and purchase orders (JDE)
- Analyze variances and implement corrective actions
- Lead cost optimization initiatives
- Promote a strong safety culture (prevention, role model)
- Lead safety coordination and risk assessments
- Manage audits, controls, non‑compliance, and emergency plans
- Oversee site security, access, and external activities
- Monitor and optimize energy consumption
- Contribute to Group initiatives (energy, sustainability)
- Ensure waste management and regulatory compliance
- Conduct regulatory monitoring (energy, waste, GHG)
- Lead site projects (specifications, coordination, monitoring)
- Ensure compliance, safety, and budget alignment
- Manage relationships with authorities, partners, and auditors
- Prepare presentations (CONNECT, Townhall, Steering Committees)
- Contribute to corporate reporting (performance, energy, safety)
- Support R\&D tax credit (CIR) documentation
- Draft internal communications (works, access, safety
Technical Skills
- Site management: safety, maintenance, compliance, energy
- Budget management: OPEX / CAPEX, forecasting, variance analysis
- Understanding of R\&D, agricultural, or industrial environments
