Midland Stairlifts is a well\-established, local family\-run stairlift company based in Ilkeston, providing stairlift sales, installations, servicing and repairs throughout Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and the surrounding areas.

We are looking for a Stairlift Engineer to join our friendly team.

The Role

The successful candidate will be involved in the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of stairlifts in customer's homes.

Previous stairlift engineering experience would be an advantage, but it is not essential, as full training will be provided for the right person.

We are looking for someone who is practical, reliable, friendly and takes pride in providing a high standard of workmanship and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

\* Installing new and reconditioned stairlifts

\* Servicing and maintaining existing stairlifts

\* Diagnosing and repairing stairlift faults

\* Carrying out customer visits and assessments when required

\* Providing excellent customer service in customers’ homes

\* Completing job sheets and maintaining accurate records

\* Keeping the company vehicle, tools and equipment clean and organised

\* Working safely and professionally at all times

About You

We are looking for someone who:

\* Has a practical and hands\-on approach

\* Is reliable, punctual and hardworking

\* Has good communication and customer service skills

\* Is comfortable working independently and as part of a small team

\* Takes pride in their work

\* Is willing to learn and develop their skills

\* Has a full clean UK driving licence

Previous experience as a stairlift engineer is preferred but not essential – full training will be given.

Experience in electrical, mechanical, engineering, plumbing, electrical installation, mobility equipment, lift engineering or a similar hands\-on trade would be beneficial, but we are also happy to consider applicants from other backgrounds with the right attitude and practical ability.
