Staff Software Engineer, Supply Chain Management Technology (all genders)
<h2>About the role: What's in the Box</h2>
<p>As a Staff Engineer in our Supply Chain Management organization, you will be responsible for defining, securing, and implementing technical solutions for business problems. You will play a critical role as our systems scale to handle a jump from 1.2 million to over 2.4 million produced boxes per week due to recent software product consolidation. You will look after speeding up development, decision-making, and problem-solving. You will work with our neighboring teams to ensure that our efforts aim to achieve a clearer architecture and boundaries between tech teams to support autonomy. You will communicate directly with our business stakeholders and multiple tech teams supporting local markets. You will report to the Director of Engineering in the Production tribe. This role does not include people management responsibilities.</p>
<h2>What you’ll do: The Recipe</h2>
<ul>
<li><strong>Take ownership</strong> of the architecture, design, development, deployment and operations of the microservices you will develop, using DevOps practices, pair programming and other cutting edge methodologies </li>
<li><strong>Be active, solution-oriented</strong><strong> membe</strong>r of autonomous, cross-functional agile teams collaborating with Product Owners, Front-end Engineers, Designers, and Business Intelligence teams </li>
<li><strong>Having</strong> an in-depth understanding of HelloFresh’s core product and architecture, and act as ambassador for software solutions offering support and mentorship to colleagues</li>
<li><strong>Work</strong> with state-of-the-art technologies like Kafka, RabbitMQ, Spark, Kubernetes, Istio, and more</li>
</ul>
<h2>What you’ll bring: The Ingredients </h2>
<ul>
<li>Solid back-end experience within Microservice architecture using Golang </li>
<li>Experience working with Docker and container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes</li>
<li>As well as experience in CI/CD methods and practices</li>
<li>Practical experience of TDD, BDD, DDD and distributed architectural patterns</li>
<li>Background working with event-driven architectures using RabbitMQ and/or Kafka</li>
<li>Experienced in end-to-end development processes, including unit, integration & functional testing, distributed architecture, application tuning/profiling, and continuous integration</li>
<li>Experience working with relational and document databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB</li>
<li>You thrive in the opportunity to collaborate and mentor team members, while also sharing practical knowledge and trends</li>
