At Thermo Fisher Scientific, we’re looking for an experienced and driven Program Manager to lead complex, cross\-functional New Product Introduction (NPI) programs within our Protein \& Cell Analysis (PCA) business unit.

This is a high\-impact role with full accountability from concept through commercialization. You’ll sit at the center of innovation — connecting Business, R\&D, Operations, Quality, and Commercial — ensuring we deliver high\-quality bioscience solutions to customers around the world.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in complexity, brings structure to ambiguity, and builds teams that consistently deliver.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Lead complex, cross\-functional product development programs through successful commercialization

  • Own program scope, integrated timelines, financial performance, resources, and risk strategy

  • Drive disciplined execution using our structured Product Commercialization Process (PCP) stage\-gate model

  • Anticipate technical, operational, and commercial risks — and address them early

  • Clearly frame trade\-offs and guide teams toward timely, well\-informed decisions

  • Lead core teams with clarity and accountability, fostering trust and shared ownership

  • Create an environment where diverse perspectives are encouraged and constructive challenge strengthens outcomes

  • Influence across the matrix through strong stakeholder management and communication

  • Provide clear, confident updates to governance forums and senior leadership, escalating when appropriate
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Business, or a related field

  • 6\+ years preferred of program or project management experience within product development (life sciences, biotech, diagnostics, or related industry preferred)

  • Experience leading cross\-functional teams in matrix organizations

  • Experience working within structured product development environments under ISO 13485 and stage\-gate governance

  • Demonstrated ability to manage programs involving technical complexity and competing priorities

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem\-solving capability

  • Strong financial acumen, planning discipline, and risk management expertise

  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail; proficiency with project management methodologies, tools, and software (including MS Office suite)

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills across all organizational levels

  • Strong English communication skills required; proficiency in a Scandinavian language is considered an advantage. Demonstrated ability to influence, promote accountability, adapt leadership style, and resolve conflict effectively in matrix environments

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to align program execution to business objectives

  • Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is a plus
What Success Looks Like
  • You lead high\-performing core teams built on trust, transparency, and accountability

  • Major stage\-gate milestones are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget

  • Programs operate with clarity and structure, with risks identified early and mitigated effectively

  • Decisions are made confidently, even in ambiguous or high\-pressure situations

  • Cross\-functional alignment is strong, and accountability is clear

  • Business impact is visible through successful launches that advance science and deliver customer value
