OmniFrost is a mobile\-first, AI\-powered monitoring and control system designed to replace both legacy vendor SCADA and Amazon's existing SCADA 2\.0 across the global

fulfilment network.

This role owns the end\-to\-end product lifecycle for OmniFrost from defining requirements and success metrics through scaled network deployment. You will work directly with RME field teams, engineering, and leadership to drive a production\-ready platform that delivers measurable operational impact at scale.

Key job responsibilities

  • Define and own the OmniFrost product vision, strategy, and multi\-year roadmap covering pilot validation through network\-wide deployment across technically feasible sites globally

  • Establish measurable KPIs tied to business outcomes: MTTR improvement, system availability, user adoption, alarm latency, and technician satisfaction (NPS)

  • Define deployment requirements across CF, AMZL, and ATS business types spanning NA and EU regions, covering diverse SCADA configurations and equipment vendors (Vanderlande, Dematic, Amazon ARS)

  • Drive feature prioritization across core capabilities: interactive 2D/3D layouts, AI\-assisted triage (Graph RAG\-based smart recommendations), live camera feeds, command and control, native APM integration, and multi\-device access

  • Design experimental methodology including matched\-pair control sites and measurement frameworks to prove OmniFrost delivers incremental value beyond existing solutions

  • Own Go/No\-Go criteria for scale deployment based on validated pilot results

  • Partner with Spectralink/DeFrost team on deployment automation economics targeting significant reduction in retrofit time and cost

  • Coordinate with Quattro, COSMOS, BiFrost, APM, and OEE engineering teams on technical dependencies and integration requirements

  • Represent RME customer needs in architectural decisions for AI\-assisted triage, agentic AI (MCP protocol), alarm consolidation, and mobile\-first design

  • Manage stakeholder alignment across RME field leadership, GES, ELM, Controls Engineering, and executive steering committees
About the team

The Controls Engineering (CE) team within Central RME builds and deploys Amazon's internal SCADA platform across the global fulfilment network. We provide real\-time equipment monitoring and control capabilities to RME technicians across sites in North America, Europe, LATAM, and Asia\-Pacific.

Our mission is to eliminate dependency on third\-party vendor SCADA systems, reduce equipment downtime through proactive monitoring (proven 44% MTTR reduction), and deliver unified visibility across all equipment vendors. OmniFrost represents the next generation — built on a React\-based, Ignition\-free architecture with AI\-powered guidance, self\-service deployment automation, and native APM integration.

The team operates at the intersection of industrial automation, software engineering, and AI/ML — building real\-time web applications, data pipelines (Kinesis, COSMOS), spatial intelligence platforms

(Spectralink), and agentic AI systems (Graph RAG, MCP protocol). This is a high\-impact team with outsized influence on Amazon's operational efficiency across the fulfilment network.
