Sports & Golf Event Sales Executive
The Sports \& Golf Event Sales Executive is responsible from managing inbound (reactive) sales enquiries for golf and sports bookings, including but not limited to corporate golf days, residential golf breaks, wholesaler golf breaks and various enquiry types for sports teams including football, rugby and cricket. The candidate is responsible for converting leads into confirmed business and ensuring that all bookings are effectively and properly handed over; as well as building and maintaining strong relationships with the sports teams, intermediaries, golf tour operators and event organizers. The role supports overall revenue goals by ensuring a seamless and professional booking experience while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.* Respond promptly and professionally to all sports and golf\-related enquiries
- Convert reactive enquiries into confirmed bookings, maximizing revenue through upselling and strategic negotiation.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients in the sports and golf segments including teams, clubs, associations, governing bodies, and event planners.
- Prepare and deliver proposals, contracts, and event orders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and bookings in the CRM system.
- Ensure all group requirements, including room blocks, catering (where possible) and ancillary services are clearly handed over to hotel event management teams to ensure seamless service.
- Work closely with the relevant teams across the hotel
- Resolicitation calls
- Ensure understanding of hotel strategies and engage with relevant stakeholders
- Liaise with Sales Managers and events teams on property
- Up\-sells products and services throughout the event process.
- Manages revenue and profitability associated with events.
- Forecasts group sleeping rooms and event revenue
- Reviews billing and payments with clients to ensure smooth handover to events teams.
- Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
- Handles guest problems and complaints.
- Makes presence known to customers at all times during the entire event process.
- Follows up with customer post\-event where relevant in conjunction with hotel events team
- Strives to improve service performance.
- Sets a positive example for guest relations.
- Coordinates and communicates verbally and in writing with customer (internal and external) regarding event details.
