As the Sports Centre Duty Manager \& Swim Lead at Cranleigh School’s Trevor Abbot Sports Centre (TASC), you’ll combine operational oversight with the opportunity to grow and lead a thriving aquatics programme. What you'll be doing
As Sports Centre Duty Manager, you’ll:
- Oversee the daily operations of the sports centre, including opening and closing facilities, setting up equipment, and ensuring smooth running of activities.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, responding to enquiries and feedback professionally and promptly.
- Instruct gym users on safe equipment use and lead weekly fitness classes (subject to qualifications).
- Manage administrative tasks such as bookings, newsletters, and promotional initiatives to support commercial growth.
- Proactively engage with potential new activities, clubs, and groups to expand the centre’s offerings.
- Deliver and oversee the Swim Academy, including Saturday morning sessions and weekday evening classes.
- Develop a clear progression pathway for swimmers, celebrating achievements and maintaining strong communication with parents.
- Design and deliver holiday swimming initiatives, such as intensive courses and themed weeks.
- Identify and grow commercial swimming opportunities, including adult lessons, children’s pool parties, and school swimming provision.
- Collaborate with the wider TASC team to maximise pool usage and revenue.
You’ll be part of the dynamic team at the Trevor Abbot Sports Centre, working closely with colleagues to deliver high\-quality services to both the school and the wider community.
