Specialist Speech and Language Therapist
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our Stroke and Rehabilitation Stroke Wards at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Trust, as well as the Integrated Community Stroke Service (ICSS). This is a full‑time fixed‑term post until July 2027, with participation in weekend and bank holiday rotas to support delivery of a 7‑day service.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across both acute inpatient and community stroke rehabilitation settings, contributing to high‑quality, patient‑centred care for adults with communication and swallowing needs.
The post is split between:
Stroke and Rehabilitation Stroke Wards (Sherwood Forest Hospitals)
Integrated Community Stroke Service (ICSS) — providing therapy in patients’ homes across Mansfield, Ashfield, Newark and Sherwood
A car driver is essential for the community component of the role.
You will work with adults presenting with a range of communication impairments, speech and language disorders, and dysphagia, delivering specialist assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and management.
