An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated midwife with a passion for pelvic health to join our multidisciplinary team as a Band 7 Pelvic Health Specialist Midwife.
You will play a key role in the development, delivery and evaluation of high\-quality pelvic health services across maternity and postnatal care pathways. This is an excellent opportunity to lead on improving outcomes for women experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction, perineal trauma, and continence issues.

The Pelvic Health Department is a dynamic forward\-thinking team welcoming new team players. We are an accredited unit with strong MDT links and education. This role will be working closely with the physiotherapist in the Perinatal Pelvic Health Service (PPHS).

What you will bring to the role

- Provide specialist assessment, advice and management for women with pelvic health concerns, including perineal trauma, pelvic floor dysfunction, and continence issues.
- Lead and support the implementation of evidence\-based pelvic health pathways across maternity services.
- Deliver education and training to midwives, obstetric teams and wider staff on pelvic health awareness and prevention strategies.
- Work collaboratively with physiotherapists, obstetricians, health visitors and primary care colleagues to ensure seamless care.
- Act as a clinical expert and resource for pelvic health within the maternity service.
- Contribute to audit, research and service improvement initiatives in line with national guidance (e.g., OASI Care Bundle, Saving Babies’ Lives, etc.).
- Support women through antenatal and postnatal education on pelvic health, recovery and rehabilitation.
