Space Management Coordinator (Shipping Liner)
HMM is looking to recruit a Space Management Coordinator at our European Headquarters. Shipping or Logistics experience relating to Space (or vessel operation/sales in container shipping business) Management is preferred.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
- To control vessel space ensuring maximisation of BSA utilisation and daily operational tasks
- To manipulate bookings from strong loop to weak loop to maximise utilisation of each loop
- To enhance the booking performance by communicating with local offices
- Daily space control of current and future vessels including allocation adjustments and/or offering alternative options based on yield management
- Creating Container Booking Forecasts and sending to vessel operators
- Review and take necessary action from SITREP(Situation Report) / TBU’s / loading lists / BAPLIE (Bay Plan Including Empties) files received internally and with partners lines
- Coordination with ROC (Regional Operation Centre), Equipment Team, Traffic and Coordination Team, Pricing Teams and HQ Liner Operation Team to maximise ship’s utilisation and HMM profit
- Advising HMM position on port rotation / omissions and cut n’ run / buy and sell space
- Solving and answering any queries from regional offices including scheduling queries
- Querying any unnatural shortfalls, low performance and pushing for more cargoes from regions
- Preparing for and attending any internal meetings
- DG/OOG monitoring in liaison with related parties
- Initiate and monitor Transshipment details to regional offices
- Creating and distributing regions’ performance reports
- Reconciliation of data from RDR’s
- Managing port\-wise ROB(Retained On Board) volume including T/S cargo
- Writing and updating of SOP relating to job function (departmental and regional guidelines)
WORK SKILLS, GENERAL AND SPECIALIST JOB KNOWLEDGE:
- Shipping or Logistics experience relating to Space (or vessel operation/sales) Management is preferred
- Shipping qualification/s desirable
- Competent in Excel, PowerPoint and outlook
- COMMUNICATION – Ability to effectively deliver information at all levels
- ACCURACY – Vital
- LISTENING SKILLS – Ability to gather relevant information from general information provide
- INITIATIVE – Important to be able to make own decisions and use initiative
- ORGANISATIONAL SKILLS – The ability to priorities workload when necessary but just as important to multi\-tasking
- PROBLEM\-SOLVING – the ability to approach problems from different angles to solve efficiently and swiftly
Pay: £28,000\.00\-£36,000\.00 per year
