We are seeking to appoint a passionate \& highly motivated Sous Chef to support our Pub offering nestled within our luxury country estate. Working alongside a small team of Sous Chefs, the key focus of the role will be supporting our Chef Director, Charlie Hibbert, a true master of classic, homely, British cookery, in running the kitchens across the Estate to produce comforting, rustic yet clean and confident iterations of well\-loved British and European dishes. You will lead shifts and take full control/responsibility for the kitchen where the Chef Director is not present.

At Thyme a love for food and cooking is just as important as the skill of any chef that works with us. With full access to Thyme’s own 2\.5\-acre kitchen garden and larger farm, you will have the opportunity to work with good produce and most importantly in a friendly environment with excellent facilities, while contributing to menu development and presentation.

Guaranteed hours every week

Salary negotiable depended on experience.

\*Relocation package available\* \- up to £2000 paid with no need to pay this back unless you leave within the first 2 years of your employment.

Responsibilities \& skills

· Working closely in the kitchen team with our Chef Director and his team producing exciting dishes that are directly linked to our gardens and farm

· Acting manager in the Head Chef's absence

· A love for seasonal and local produce – this is really important as we have our own kitchen garden, orchards, herb gardens and animals that we include daily in our restaurant menu

· A solid skillset including sound knowledge on meat, fish and veg prep.

We are set in a rural location, so your own transport is essential, however we may be able to provide accommodation or relocation assistance.

Pay: £38,000\.00\-£42,000\.00 per year
