We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join our dynamic team at Reed Professional Services, working closely with an expanding Portfolio Architecture team. This role involves engaging with key business stakeholders to understand and enhance the Technology estate, aligning architecture with long-term business goals, and managing risk and governance.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Collaborate with key business stakeholders to understand their technology needs and challenges.


• Design integrated solutions that align with long-term business goals and value streams across cloud and legacy platforms.


• Manage risk and governance using frameworks like TOGAF and balance technical decisions with cost optimisation.


• Deliver solutions via Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD methodologies.


• Lead and influence cross-functional teams, resolving conflicts and negotiating effectively.


• Communicate complex technical designs to both business stakeholders and non-technical audiences.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, including hybrid/multi-cloud setups.


• In-depth knowledge of data architecture (migration, analytics, AI).


• Demonstrable experience in systems integration methods and technologies.


• Proven track record in the design and delivery of large scale, complex integrated IT solutions.


• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to set expectations across different teams.


• Ability to manage a large and varied workload, prioritise, and multi-task.


• Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly to all levels.


• Emotional intelligence and adaptability under pressure.

Desirable:

• Proficiency in architecture modelling (e.g., ArchiMate, C4).


• Experience building multi-year technology roadmaps across complex programs.


• Experience in transitioning from Waterfall to Agile delivery methodologies.


• Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
