Solution Architect

As a Solution/Platform Architect, you form the bridge between vision, architecture, and implementation.

You will:

Design a scalable, future\-proof platform architecture aligned with the needs of DevSecOps teams.

Build and maintain an Internal Developer Platform that supports and accelerates developers.

Work closely with Enterprise and Solution Architects, security advisors, and multiple development and operations teams.

Lead the implementation of IDP components using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, GitLab, Kubernetes, Backstage, Istio, observability solutions, and both private and public cloud technologies.

Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, Configuration as Code, self\-service portals, and self\-healing platform components.

Ensure security principles such as compliance by design, security by default, and a secure software supply chain.

Advise on platform strategy and future innovations within the DevSecOps domain.

We are looking for someone who works iteratively, pragmatically, and customer\-focused, with attention to both technology and developer experience. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, knows how to connect teams, and can clearly explain complex technical decisions.

Background of the Assignment

DevEx is working on a platform service called “The Generic Development Pipeline of JIVC.” This service provides an accredited and Enterprise Architecture\-approved development pipeline that enables 80% of JIVC’s custom software to be developed, integrated, and deployed in a cloud\-agnostic manner.

Job Requirements

The candidate must have at least 3 years of demonstrable work experience with the selected eCF profile or a similar role.

Preferred Qualifications

The candidate preferably has experience with:

Infrastructure architecture, platform engineering, or system architecture.

Designing and building platform engineering environments for at least 20 DevSecOps teams.

Designing platforms in air\-gapped or highly secure environments.

In addition:

The candidate preferably possesses in\-depth knowledge of cloud\-native technologies, Kubernetes ecosystems, automation frameworks, and platform principles such as IaC, CI/CD, observability, security, compliance, and software supply chain management.

The candidate is familiar with modern concepts such as Platform as a Product, Team Topologies, DevSecOps principles, and cloud\-native architecture.

Certifications such as Archimate, CKA/CKS, GitLab CI/CD, and CISSP/CCSP are preferred.

The candidate preferably has demonstrable work experience with DevSecOps (DevOps).

The candidate preferably has more demonstrable work experience than the minimum required within the requested role and eCF profile.
