Solicitor – Industrial Deafness (Military Hearing Loss)

Job Summary
Park House Lawyers is seeking a motivated and dedicated Solicitor to join our expanding Industrial Deafness Department based at our Blackburn office.
This role is open to both newly qualified Solicitors and experienced Solicitors. Full training will be provided, therefore previous experience in Industrial Deafness, Noise\-Induced Hearing Loss or Personal Injury litigation is not required.
The successful candidate will manage a caseload of Military Hearing Loss claims against the Ministry of Defence, working alongside an experienced team of solicitors and legal professionals within one of the UK's growing specialist litigation departments.
Please note: This vacancy is only open to qualified Solicitors who are admitted in England and Wales and hold a current practising certificate.

Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of Industrial Deafness (Military Hearing Loss) claims.
- Advising clients throughout the litigation process.
- Reviewing liability, causation and quantum.
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents, pleadings and correspondence.
- Reviewing medical evidence and expert reports.
- Liaising with clients, counsel, medical experts, the Ministry of Defence and third parties.
- Negotiating settlements where appropriate.
- Maintaining accurate case records using the firm's case management system.
- Ensuring compliance with the Civil Procedure Rules, SRA Standards and all regulatory requirements.
- Working closely with fellow solicitors, paralegals and management to progress claims efficiently.
- Qualified Solicitor of England and Wales.
- Holds a current practising certificate.
- Excellent communication and client care skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy caseload.
- High attention to detail.
- Professional, proactive and able to work effectively within a team.
- Previous litigation experience.
- Experience within Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence, Industrial Deafness or Civil Litigation.
- Experience using legal case management systems.
