The Role As a Solicitor or Legal Executive specialising in Children Law, you will advise and represent clients regarding Private Children Law and domestic abuse matters. You’ll work within a highly experienced team in a welcoming and professional environment, conducting advocacy both in and out of court, and assisting members of the Children Department as needed. You’ll help maintain the firm’s excellent reputation by network building and creating professional relationships including:
  • Providing expert advice and representation to clients in Private Children Law and domestic abuse cases

  • Conducting advocacy inside and outside court settings

  • Managing case files using the Proclaim Case Management System (training provided)

  • Offering support to colleagues within the Children Department

  • Networking and maintaining professional relationships

What we're looking for: • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with experience in a Children Law department
  • Resolution accredited and/or Children Panel member (essential)

  • Sound knowledge of Legal Aid regulations and procedures

  • Excellent advocacy, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Strong IT skills, including familiarity with Word, Outlook, and Excel

  • Ability to manage files and diaries effectively, working to tight deadlines

  • Friendly, positive, and proactive approach with initiative

  • Full UK driving licence required

  • Knowledge of the Proclaim Case Management System is desirable
