Solar Surveyor / Sales Consultant
G\&E Services are looking for an experienced and motivated Solar Surveyor / Sales Consultant to join our growing renewable energy team.
This is a customer\-facing role combining technical site surveys with solar and battery sales. You will visit customers at their homes, assess the property for suitability, discuss their energy requirements and recommend the right solar PV and battery storage solution.
We are looking for someone who is confident, professional and technically minded, with the ability to explain renewable energy systems clearly and convert qualified enquiries into sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out residential solar PV and battery storage site surveys
- Assess roof space, orientation, shading, access and installation requirements
- Review consumer units, electrical supplies, meter locations and proposed inverter/battery locations
- Take accurate measurements, photographs and survey information for the installation team
- Discuss customers' electricity usage and future requirements, including EV charging and heat pumps
- Recommend suitable solar PV, battery storage and inverter solutions
- Explain expected generation, battery usage, export tariffs and potential savings
- Present quotations and proposals professionally
- Follow up customer enquiries and quotations
- Convert qualified leads into confirmed installations
- Maintain accurate customer and survey information within our CRM
- Liaise closely with the design, office and installation teams
- Provide a professional customer experience from initial survey through to handover
- Previous experience in solar PV, battery storage, renewable energy or technical sales is highly desirable
- Experience carrying out solar surveys would be a major advantage
- Strong sales and communication skills
- Confident speaking with homeowners and explaining technical information clearly
- Good understanding of solar PV and battery storage systems
- Organised and able to manage multiple customer appointments and follow\-ups
- Comfortable working independently
- Good attention to detail when completing surveys
- Full UK driving licence

Driving Licence: Required
A company vehicle or vehicle allowance, salary and commission structure can be discussed depending on experience.
