Previous professional experience within the Solar PV / Battery Storage industry is essential for this position.

We are looking for an experienced solar professional to join our in\-house team in a varied position combining administration, customer relations and sales support.

A major part of the position will involve managing our CRM, dealing with new and existing customers, keeping enquiries and projects organised, supporting the administration of installations and ensuring customers are followed through efficiently from their initial enquiry.

However, we also want someone who is commercially minded, confident speaking with customers and comfortable following up quotations and helping convert genuine opportunities into confirmed installations.

You will work closely with the Managing Director and wider operations team and become an important part of the day\-to\-day running and future growth of the business.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing new enquiries through our CRM

  • Responding to incoming calls, emails and customer enquiries

  • Speaking with customers to understand their Solar PV and Battery Storage requirements

  • Qualifying enquiries and booking consultations or home surveys

  • Maintaining accurate CRM records, notes, tasks and follow\-ups

  • Following up customers who have received quotations

  • Supporting the preparation of Solar PV and Battery Storage quotations

  • Collecting electricity bills, photographs and other information required for quotations and projects

  • Supporting installation and project administration

  • Liaising with installers, surveyors, suppliers and wholesalers

  • Coordinating appointments, surveys and installation requirements

  • Supporting DNO applications and G98/G99 processes where required

  • Supporting MCS, handover and completion documentation

  • Following up deposits, outstanding balances and required customer actions

  • Maintaining organised customer and project records

  • Assisting with supplier and equipment coordination

  • Supporting aftercare and existing customer enquiries

  • Helping improve office systems and processes as the company grows
Customer Relations

Customer experience is a major part of this position.

You will often be one of the first people a customer speaks with when they contact Energy Concerns, so we are looking for somebody who is confident, professional and personable.

You should be comfortable building relationships with customers, keeping them informed and ensuring they feel looked after throughout their journey with us.

Sales Support

Although this is not a pure sales position, there is a genuine commercial element to the role.

You will be expected to:

  • Follow up warm enquiries

  • Follow up quotations

  • Discuss customer requirements

  • Help customers understand their options

  • Identify additional opportunities

  • Ask customers whether they are ready to proceed

  • Help convert opportunities into confirmed business
As your technical knowledge and confidence develop, there will be opportunities to become more involved in quotations, customer consultations and independent sales.

The position therefore includes a commission structure in addition to the basic salary.

Basic salary: £30,000–£35,000 depending on experience

Expected OTE: £40,000–£50,000\+

Strong performers will have the opportunity to increase both their earning potential and level of responsibility as the role develops.
