Solar Panel Installer - Roofer

Job Disctiprtion:

We are seeking a skilled and safety\-conscious roofer to join our roofing team for the installation of solar panels on residential and commercial properties. Opportunity to grow with a fast growing business. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, repairing, and securing roofing structures to facilitate efficient solar panel installation. Experience in roofing and knowledge of solar mounting systems is highly desirable. Similar experience or evidence of transferable skills will also be considered. Other relevant trade experience in carpentry, metal work or other will be considered.

Office based in Kilcoole, Co. Wicklow just off the M11, it will be the starting point for most jobs each morning.

Requirements \& Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a roofer, preferably with solar installation experience.


• Other relevant experience would be considered, scaffolding, carpentry, jobs that required use of power tools and other equipment.


• Knowledge of different roofing types beenficial (e.g., tile, slate, metal, flat roofs).


• Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.


• Valid clean driver’s license (mandatory).


• Ability to lift heavy materials


• Safepass


• Willingness to learn.

• Install, repair, and prepare roofing structures for solar panel installations.


• Assess roof conditions and determine necessary modifications to support solar arrays.


• Work with solar installers and electricians to ensure seamless integration of solar PV systems.


• Ensure safety procedures and industry standards are followed at all times.


• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.


• Work at heights with confidence, adhering to fall protection and safety regulations.


• Identify and resolve potential issues related to roof integrity and solar mounting.


• Maintain tools, equipment, and worksite cleanliness.


• Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and clients to ensure high\-quality installations.
