Software Test Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail\-oriented and analytical Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our software products through rigorous testing methodologies. This role requires a strong understanding of software quality assurance principles, as well as the ability to collaborate with cross\-functional teams to define business requirements and user acceptance testing criteria.

Duties

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on business requirements.


• Conduct functional, regression, and load testing to ensure software reliability and performance.


• Collaborate with developers and business analysts to identify testing needs and ensure alignment with project goals.


• Utilise tools such as LoadRunner for performance testing and TFS for tracking defects and progress.


• Document test results, report defects, and provide feedback on software usability.


• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions to validate that the software meets user expectations.


• Maintain up\-to\-date knowledge of industry best practices in software quality assurance.

Skills

• Proficiency in cloud\-based testing environments experience is highly preferred.


• Strong programming skills in JavaScript for automation scripting.


• Familiarity with HTML for web application testing.


• Experience with MySQL for database validation during testing processes.


• Solid understanding of business analysis principles to effectively gather requirements.


• Knowledge of software quality assurance methodologies and tools, including LoadRunner.


• Excellent problem\-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.


• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members across various departments.
