Software Engineer to Nykredit Wealth Technology
*Do you want to build backend and event\-driven systems at the core of fund accounting in one of Denmark’s largest financial institutions? We are looking for a Software Engineer to work with .NET, Azure, Kafka, CI/CD, Grafana, and modern engineering practices in a setup where AI is a primary tool in daily development work. You will help move business\-critical solutions further into the cloud, with real ownership from development to operations.*
Why Do We Need You?
Wealth Management is a growing business area at the Nykredit group, and the systems supporting it need to become more scalable, standardized, automated, and easier to operate. We are modernizing the platform landscape through cloud adoption, new SaaS capabilities, and redesign of in\-house systems, and we are doing it with an AI\-first engineering approach where developers actively use AI to design, write, improve, and review code.
Join a Trust\-Based Team
You will join Fund Accounting Products \- a team building and modernizing systems that support Fund Valuation, Alternatives, and Fund Accounting. This includes solutions that calculate NAV (Net Asset Value) and support near\-real\-time pricing of funds, where reliability, maintainability, scalability, and strong operability matter every day.
As a Software Engineer in Fund Accounting Products you will design, build, and improve backend applications, integrations, and event\-driven services using .NET, Azure, GitHub, Terraform, and Kafka. AI will be a primary development tool \- not just a side assistant \- and you will be expected to use it actively across implementation, refactoring, testing, and daily problem\-solving. You will help modernize core solutions, drive our cloud journey forward, and take responsibility for how the software performs in production.
You will work on systems supporting fund accounting processes and near\-real\-time fund pricing, including NAV (Net Asset Value) calculation, where stability, correctness, and resilient services are essential, along with monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement in live environments.
Your work will include backend services, APIs, integrations, event\-driven capabilities, and automation across the platform. You will work closely with business specialists, architects, and engineers to turn complex requirements into robust technical solutions that are observable, supportable, and built to last.
We are modernizing core platforms, increasing automation, and moving towards a more cloud\-native setup with clearer ownership and faster delivery. This is a chance to shape technical direction and build software used in critical financial processes, where engineering quality and operability are taken seriously.
Are you the one we are looking for?
We are looking for a backend\-oriented Software Engineer with solid technical judgement, a pragmatic mindset, and a drive to build solutions that work well in production in an AI\-first engineering setup where AI is used continuously as part of the development workflow.
Needed skills and experience:
- Strong backend development experience with .NET, SQL, and sound application design principles.
- Hands\-on experience with CI/CD, automated testing, GitHub\-based workflows, and infrastructure as code.
- A strong AI\-first mindset, with hands\-on use of AI as a primary tool for coding, refactoring, testing, documentation, and daily software engineering work.
- Experience building and operating solutions in Azure, ideally with cloud\-native patterns, Terraform, and observability tools such as Grafana to support monitoring and operational insight.
- Experience with business\-critical applications, integrations, APIs, and event\-driven solutions where uptime, resilience, and supportability matter.
- A strong sense of ownership and a "you build it, you run it" mentality, combined with the ability to use AI effectively to improve speed, quality, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
- Fluent English; Danish is a plus.
- Experience from financial services, wealth management, fund accounting, or other regulated domains is preferred and will be considered a clear advantage.
- Experience with Kafka, event\-driven architecture, messaging patterns, or distributed systems.
- Familiarity with secure software development, security by design, and resilient solutions.
- Curiosity about architecture, platform modernization, and continuous improvement.
- Curiosity about AI\-assisted engineering and an interest in pushing modern development practices further.
