*We are currently looking for a* *Software Engineer* *to join the team in* *Rome**.*

We are seeking a Software Engineer with a passion for developing cutting\-edge software. In this role, you will contribute to improving our software application that monitors the end\-to\-end operational workflow within the Ground Segment of satellite missions.

This application is critical to the daily operations of various Earth observation missions, ensuring efficient ground\-segment production. By joining our team, you will play a key role in advancing technologies that help monitor and protect the health of our planet.

Software Engineer

Main responsibilities
-------------------------

• Collaborate with the team to design, develop, test, and document high\-quality code.


• Establish and maintain the software build, testing, and documentation infrastructure for mission\-critical projects.


• Provide constructive feedback through code reviews, supporting and mentoring team members when necessary.


• Effectively communicate solutions, including technical aspects, to customers and stakeholders.

Requirements
----------------

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Engineering, or equivalent hands\-on experience in software development.


• 5 years of practical experience in software development, preferably in requirements\-driven projects.


• Strong proficiency in Python; additional familiarity with technologies such as Django, Angular and Grafana is considered a plus.


• Knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or similar.


• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins).


• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and hardware virtualization (VMs).


• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.


• Fluent English; knowledge of Italian is preferred.


• Availability to work on\-site at least 2\-3 day per week (remote work is possible on the remaining days).

Bonus Skills

• Experience with aerospace engineering standards (e.g., ECSS) is preferred.


• Experience with C\+\+, Java, or C\# is preferred.


• A good command of the Italian language is an asset.
