<p>The Engineering team at Vonage is a group of talented engineers working on complex challenges associated with high-performance distributed systems and processing large volumes of data in real time.</p>
<p>We are looking for Software Engineers to join our dynamic development team. As a key contributor, you will play a vital role in building out our RCS channel functionality.</p>
<h2><strong>Your key responsibilities:</strong></h2>
<ul>
<li>Build high-throughput, low-latency applications to meet communication use cases.</li>
<li>Create scalable microservices that will help support our impressive growth</li>
<li>Write efficient and scalable code in well-tested systems</li>
<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality.</li>
<li>Propose scalable, maintainable and cost-effective solutions</li>
<li>Estimate the effort required to develop and implement new features</li>
<li>Develop and execute effective testing strategies to ensure software quality and reliability</li>
</ul>
<h2 class="no-bottom-margin">What you'll bring:</h2>
<ul>
<li>Experience writing backend services in Java or Kotlin</li>
<li>A focus on testing</li>
<li>An understanding of Object Oriented Design and standard design patterns</li>
<li>Willingness to learn and use different technologies/programming languages</li>
<li>Experience working with public cloud. AWS would be advantageous</li>
<li>Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases</li>
<li>Practical experience of deploying code in a modern programming environment using tools such as Docker and Kubernetes</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Language - Kotlin primarily with Spring Boot Reactive</li>
<li>Cloud - AWS primarily</li>
<li>Monitoring and observability</li>
<li>Kafka and Redis</li>
<li>Docker and Kubernetes</li>
