Enjoy solving problems and learning something new? Join our friendly team and help build software that makes life easier for care home staff.
Home based, with occasional office attendance for workshops and socials.
The Company
Hello! We’re CoolCare, and we build software for the care sector. Founded in 1999, and with decades of experience building and operating care homes through our sister companies, we understand the difference good software can make. We’re passionate about using technology to make care home teams’ working lives easier.
This role will sit within LNT Connect,a new, dedicated development team within CoolCare. The team will build and support digital products for other businesses within the LNT Care Developments Group, helping teams work more consistently, manage important processes and make better use of their information.
Although LNT Connect has its own dedicated work, you’ll be part of the wider CoolCare team and benefit from our development experience, working practices and supportive culture.

As a team, we are motivated by our mission and knowing our work benefits care homes across the country.
The Position
You’ll help develop and maintain business web applications built using React and TypeScript and hosted in AWS and Firebase. These are practical, data\-driven systems involving user accounts, forms, workflows, reporting and access controls.
Working with colleagues across CoolCare, LNT and Crystal Care, you’ll turn real operational needs into useful, straightforward features. You’ll investigate issues, improve existing functionality and help keep our applications reliable and secure.
You’ll be involved throughout the development process, from understanding what users need through to development, testing and release. As part of a small new team, you’ll also have plenty of opportunity to influence how we approach the code, data, configuration and longer\-term development of the products.
We’re looking for someone with experience in building applications that manage data and business processes. Experience limited to brochure websites, landing pages or CMS page building will not be sufficient for this role.
