Social Worker – Children and Families

<p style="text-align: justify;">Our Client's Children and Young People’s Service is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join a busy statutory children’s team in North Yorkshire. This role involves holding and managing a varied caseload of Children in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP) and Looked After Children (LAC) cases, as allocated by the Team Manager or Assistant Team Manager.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The postholder will undertake high-quality assessments and work closely with multi-agency partners to develop, monitor, and manage effective plans that deliver positive and timely outcomes for children and young people.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>What will your responsibilities be?<br></strong><br>In this role, you will:</p>
<ul style="text-align: justify;">
<li>Hold and manage a varied caseload of Children in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Looked After Children (LAC) cases</li>
<li>Undertake high-quality statutory assessments in line with legislation, guidance, and local procedures</li>
<li>Formulate, implement, monitor, and review child-centred plans to promote children’s safety and wellbeing</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to achieve timely and sustainable outcomes for children and young people</li>
<li>Ensure the voice of the child is central to all assessments, planning, and decision-making</li>
<li>Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case records and reports using electronic case management systems</li>
<li>Participate in supervision and reflective practice with the Team Manager or Assistant Team Manager</li>
<li>Work in accordance with North Yorkshire County Council policies and statutory requirements</li>
</ul>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience:<br></strong><br>To be successful in this role you must have:</p>
<ul style="text-align: justify;">
<li>A degree-level qualification (or equivalent) in Social Work</li>
<li>Registration with Social Work England</li>
<li>Post-qualified experience within Children’s Services</li>
<li>Experience working with CIN, CP, and LAC cases</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of statutory social work legislation and safeguarding frameworks</li>
<li>Ability to work effectively with families and partner agencies</li>
<li>Eligibility to work in the UK</li>
