Social Media \& Marketing Coordinator

Location: Multi\-Site Role \| Selca Day Nurseries

Hours: 25–37\.5 Hours Per Week

Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence, Own Vehicle and Business Insurance Required

Selca Day Nurseries is a rapidly expanding childcare organisation operating across five settings throughout South Wales.

We're looking for a creative, ambitious and enthusiastic Social Media \& Marketing Coordinator to help take our social media, marketing and brand presence to the next level. At Selca, social media isn't an afterthought.

We're proud to have built a strong online presence that showcases daily life within our nurseries, celebrates our teams and gives families a genuine insight into what makes our settings special. In fact, everything you currently see across our social media channels has been created alongside the day\-to\-day responsibilities of our management team.

Now we're ready for the next step. We're looking for someone whose job is to bring the Selca story to life.

This is not a desk\-based role.

You'll spend your time visiting our settings, capturing incredible learning experiences, photographing beautiful environments, creating engaging reels, celebrating staff achievements and showcasing the amazing work taking place across our organisation every day.

One morning you could be capturing a messy play experience in Treforest. By lunchtime you might be creating a reel from a sensory activity in Llanharan. The following day you could be interviewing team members, promoting an open day, supporting a recruitment campaign or creating content highlighting one of our apprentices.

We're looking for someone who loves creativity, understands social media trends, enjoys content creation and can spot those moments that deserve to be shared.

If you're the type of person who constantly has content ideas, enjoys photography and videography, loves storytelling and wants to help shape the future of a growing childcare brand, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

Content Creation \& Storytelling

This is the heart of the role.

You'll be responsible for helping families, prospective families and future employees experience Selca through engaging and authentic content.

This includes:

  • Visiting all Selca settings regularly (driver with own vehicle required!)

  • Capturing high\-quality photographs and videos of learning experiences, environments and daily nursery life.

  • Creating engaging reels and short\-form video content.

  • Showcasing children's learning journeys and special moments.

  • Highlighting staff achievements, celebrations and team culture.

  • Supporting recruitment campaigns through creative content.

  • Identifying trends and opportunities to increase engagement and reach.

  • Creating content that reflects the warmth, professionalism and personality of the Selca brand.

  • Helping tell the stories that make our settings unique.
Social Media Management

You'll take ownership of supporting and developing our online presence by:

  • Creating content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and future platforms.

  • Planning and scheduling content calendars.

  • Supporting engagement and audience growth.

  • Identifying opportunities to improve reach and visibility.

  • Monitoring content performance and engagement trends.

  • Supporting social media campaigns throughout the year.

  • Helping ensure our social media remains fresh, engaging and innovative.
Marketing \& Brand Development

Working across all settings, you will:

  • Support occupancy campaigns and open days.

  • Promote nursery events and community initiatives.

  • Design marketing materials and promotional resources.

  • Support website and digital marketing projects.

  • Assist with local advertising campaigns.

  • Ensure consistency across all marketing and branding.

  • Help strengthen Selca's reputation within local communities.
Recruitment Marketing

You'll work closely with managers and senior leaders to help attract amazing people to join our team.

This includes:

  • Creating recruitment campaigns and promotional content.

  • Showcasing employee journeys and career progression opportunities.

  • Supporting employer branding initiatives.

  • Highlighting team culture and workplace benefits.

  • Creating content that positions Selca as an employer of choice within the childcare sector.
Staff Engagement \& Company Culture

At Selca, our people are a huge part of our story.

You'll help us celebrate them by:

  • Promoting staff achievements and milestones.

  • Supporting staff recognition initiatives.

  • Capturing team events and celebrations.

  • Showcasing career progression and training opportunities.

  • Helping communicate the culture, values and personality of the organisation.

  • Adopt a flexible, hands\-on approach to supporting the wider organisation.

  • Supporting engagement projects across all settings.
Operational \& Business Support

As a multi\-site role, you'll:

  • Travel regularly between all five Selca settings.

  • Build strong relationships with teams across the organisation.

  • Work alongside Nursery Managers and senior leaders.

  • Support business growth initiatives.

  • Assist with events, projects and campaigns.

  • Become a visible and valued part of the wider Selca team.
About You

We're looking for someone who is creative, organised, proactive and full of ideas.

Someone who sees a beautifully set\-up activity and immediately thinks, "That would make a brilliant reel."

Someone who notices the little moments, captures the team spirit, celebrates achievements and understands how powerful great storytelling can be.

We're not looking for someone who wants to sit behind a desk all day.

We're looking for someone who isn't afraid to get involved.

Someone who is confident walking into a messy play activity, getting stuck in and capturing those magical moments as they happen.

Someone who can walk into a staff training event with microphone in hand, interview team members, create engaging content and make people feel comfortable in front of the camera.

Someone who can build relationships quickly, bring energy into a room and help showcase the incredible people, environments and experiences that make Selca special.

You'll need to be confident approaching staff, speaking with families, capturing content across busy nursery environments and spotting the moments that deserve to be shared.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have excellent communication skills.

  • Be highly organised and able to manage multiple projects.

  • Have a strong eye for detail and presentation.

  • Enjoy photography, videography and content creation.

  • Understand social media trends and audience engagement.

  • Be confident approaching staff and building relationships.

  • Be comfortable working independently across multiple locations.

  • Have a positive, can\-do attitude.

  • Be creative, innovative and willing to bring new ideas to the table.

  • Enjoy being part of a fast\-paced and growing organisation.
If you're naturally creative, outgoing, proactive and always thinking, "This would make a great post" or "We should film this", you'll fit right in.

  • Confidence using social media platforms professionally.

  • Experience within childcare, education or a people\-focused industry.

  • Experience using Canva or similar design software.

  • Photography or videography experience.

  • Marketing, communications or social media experience.

  • Experience creating reels, short\-form video content and digital campaigns.
Hours \& Working Pattern
  • 25–37\.5 hours per week.

  • Monday to Friday working pattern.

  • Flexibility to work across all Selca settings in line with business requirements.

  • Due to the nature of the role, working hours may vary depending on events, campaigns and operational priorities.
Salary: £14\.45 per hour.
