We are seeking a dynamic, creative and high\-energy Social Media Strategist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative social media campaigns to enhance brand visibility and engagement across various platforms. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your expertise in public relations and social media management to shape our online presence and connect with our target audience effectively.

We aren’t just looking for someone to post pictures; we need a growth\-minded architect who can build out our global reach, master Google Advertising, and lead a creative vision that resonates with DIYers, interior designers, and professional contractors alike.

The Role

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive social media strategies aligned with company objectives and brand identity. This will mostly start with Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, but will expand over time to other platforms including Pinterest and LinkedIn.

  • Manage daily content creation, scheduling, and publishing across all relevant social media channels. This includes managing our in\-house Content Creator, providing clear briefs, creative direction, and feedback to ensure all assets align with our brand identity.

  • Monitor, analyse, and report on social media performance metrics to optimise campaigns.

  • Engage with followers, respond to comments, and foster community interactions in a professional manner.

  • Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and best practices in social media management and public relations

  • Coordinate with our external marketing company or influencers for collaborative campaigns when necessary

  • Manage crisis communication on social media channels swiftly and effectively.

  • Track KPIs and "reach" metrics, providing monthly reports that prove what’s working and where we need to pivot.
Who You Are
  • The Strategist: You don't do anything "just because." You understand the *why* behind the content and how to maximize reach through both organic and paid channels.

  • The Leader: You know how to inspire a creator, giving them enough direction to succeed while leaving room for their creative spark.

  • The Pro: You have at least 2 years of experience in social media management and a proven track record with Google Ads.

  • The Organizer: You live for a good content calendar and never miss a deadline.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in social media management and digital marketing strategies

  • Strong understanding of public relations principles and their application within social media contexts

  • Excellent written communication skills with an eye for detail and brand tone

  • Ability to analyse data using analytics tools to inform strategic decisions

  • Organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously

  • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling through digital content

  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in marketing, communications, or related fields are desirable

Pay: £30,000\.00\-£35,000\.00 per year
