Full\-Time Content Creator / Videographer

Location: Wanstead / East London
Salary: £28,000–£30,000 per year, depending on experience
Job Type: Full\-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional flexibility required for shoots/events
Brands: Dean James, Landscape Machine, Now Gardening

About the Role

We are looking for a hungry, creative and hands\-on Content Creator / Videographer to join us full\-time and help build one of the most exciting personal brands in the UK landscaping and gardening industry.

This is not a standard social media admin role.

You will be working directly with the company founder, Dean, to capture, edit and produce high\-quality content across his personal brand and multiple growing businesses in the landscaping and gardening space.

The long\-term goal is simple:

To turn Dean into a key figure in the landscaping and gardening industry — building a personal brand that educates, inspires and leads the conversation around running, scaling and improving trade\-based businesses.

You can see the personal brand page here:
Instagram: @Dean\_\_James\_\_

Alongside the personal brand, you will also create content for our established businesses, including Landscape Machine and Now Gardening.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be responsible for filming, editing and producing regular content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook and paid advertising platforms.

This will include:

  • Filming Dean on\-site, in the office, in the yard, at projects and behind the scenes

  • Editing short\-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts

  • Creating daily\-style behind\-the\-scenes content from POV/glasses footage

  • Producing “day in the life” and “morning madness” style clips

  • Capturing real business moments, lessons, site problems, team activity and project progress

  • Creating content for Dean’s personal brand around business, landscaping, leadership, marketing, sales and scaling trade businesses

  • Filming and editing project content for Landscape Machine

  • Creating clean, customer\-facing content for Now Gardening

  • Creating paid advert creatives for Meta, Instagram and other platforms

  • Adding captions, hooks, titles, music, transitions and basic branding

  • Organising raw footage and building a content bank

  • Helping plan weekly content ideas and shoot days

  • Keeping content output consistent and sharp
You’ll need to be comfortable working in a fast\-moving environment where plans can change quickly and good content opportunities can happen at any moment.

The Type of Content We Want to Create

We are looking to build a mix of:

  • Raw behind\-the\-scenes business content

  • Landscaping and gardening project content

  • Educational videos for landscapers, gardeners and trade business owners

  • Founder\-led personal brand clips

  • Motivational/business content

  • Client\-facing adverts

  • Team and company culture content

  • Before\-and\-after project videos

  • Short\-form clips from glasses/POV footage

  • Ads for gardening, landscaping and future digital products/courses
Some content will be polished. Some content will be raw, fast and authentic.

The most important thing is consistency, speed, strong hooks and the ability to spot good moments.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone creative, reliable and ambitious who wants to grow with the brand.

You do not need to have 10 years’ experience. We are more interested in someone who is hungry, switched on, creative and able to produce content quickly.

You should be:

  • Confident filming with a camera, phone or both

  • Comfortable editing short\-form video

  • Strong with captions, hooks and social media\-style edits

  • Familiar with Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts

  • Able to use tools such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve or similar

  • Interested in business, entrepreneurship, trades, landscaping or personal brands

  • Organised with footage, files and content planning

  • Comfortable filming on building/garden sites

  • Fast\-moving and not overly precious about every edit

  • Able to take feedback and improve quickly

  • Happy working directly with the business owner

  • Proactive enough to suggest ideas, angles and content opportunities
What We Don’t Want

This role is not for someone who only wants to work from home editing occasional videos.

It is also not for someone who only wants to do slow, cinematic, perfect edits.

We need someone who can be involved, on\-site, fast, flexible and consistent.

You’ll need to enjoy being around a real business, filming real projects, capturing real problems and turning everyday activity into engaging content.

What Success Looks Like

A successful week might include:

  • Filming Dean for a batch of personal brand videos

  • Turning glasses footage into several short clips

  • Visiting a landscaping project to capture progress

  • Editing reels for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts

  • Creating advert variations for Now Gardening or Landscape Machine

  • Pulling useful moments from raw footage

  • Organising the next week’s content plan

  • Building a bank of clips ready to post
The aim is to create consistent output every week and build serious momentum across the personal brand and business accounts.

Why Join Us?

This is a rare opportunity to get involved at the early stage of building a serious personal brand in the landscaping and gardening industry.

You’ll be working closely with the founder across multiple growing businesses, with access to real behind\-the\-scenes business content, live projects, teams, clients, site work, marketing campaigns and future digital products.

If the brand grows the way we intend it to, you’ll be able to say you were part of building it from the start.

For the right person, this role has real room to grow.

Salary

£28,000–£30,000 per year, depending on experience.

We are open to someone with less experience if they have the right attitude, creativity and work ethic.

Pay: £28,000\.00\-£32,000\.00 per year

Work Location: In person
