the role
we’re growing our social media team and looking for a social media executive to join us full\-time. this is a hands\-on role managing social media across a portfolio of trade and construction clients — planning content, engaging communities and delivering work that actually moves the needle.
we want someone who is both a strategic and creative thinker. someone who doesn’t just understand the platforms, but understands the people behind them — and can create content that cuts through, connects and sets our clients apart from their competitors.
you don't need to have worked in construction before, but you need to be the kind of person who gets curious about new worlds and throws themselves in. we'll teach you the industry. we can't teach passion or work ethic.
what you’ll be doing
- planning and scheduling a full month of social media content across multiple client accounts in advance
- creating content that is platform\-appropriate, audience\-aware and genuinely engaging — not just on\-brand but ahead of the curve
- carrying out daily community management — monitoring, responding and building genuine engagement
- producing regular performance reports with clear insights and recommendations
- collaborating with our creative team on video, photography and design content
- maintaining strong, professional relationships with clients
- supporting the wider team across accounts when needed
- you have 2\+ years of social media experience
- you’re confident across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn
- you plan and schedule content in advance — not just post and hope
- you can manage multiple client accounts without missing a deadline
- you write well and can adapt your tone for different brands and audiences
- you’re organised, reliable and don’t need to be chased
- you’re a team player but can get the work done solo too
- you have a creative eye — you think about how content looks and feels, not just what it says
- you’re data\-literate — you can read analytics and turn them into actions
these aren’t dealbreakers, but good to know:
paid social
- Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn Ads
- agency experience — you know what it’s like to juggle multiple clients and deadlines
- SEO awareness
- Google Ads knowledge
- email marketing experience
- Canva or Adobe tools for content creation
- experience with construction, trade, industrial brands
- your experience is based your own personal social channels
- deadlines stress you out
- the idea of managing multiple client accounts at once feels overwhelming
- you’re curious — you research audiences, study competitors and always want to know what’s working and why
- you take pride in your work and it shows in the quality of what you produce
- you take feedback well and use it to improve, not to deflate
- you’re proactive — you spot opportunities and act on them without being asked
- you care about the results your work delivers for clients, not just how it looks
- salary: £26,000 – £30,000 depending on experience
- location: Staffordshire — hybrid working, split between our office and home
